VitalLog ("we", "our", "the app") is a personal health record and reminder app that helps you log vitals, medicines, and water intake, view trends, and export reports for doctor visits. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create and identify your account.
• Health data you enter: Blood pressure, temperature, oxygen level (SpO2), blood sugar, weight, sleep, water intake, urine records, symptoms/notes, medicine names and schedules, and emergency contact information you choose to add.
• Usage data: Basic technical information such as app version, device type, and crash logs, used to maintain and improve the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To store and display your health records, graphs, and trends within the app
• To send medicine and water intake reminders you set up
• To generate PDF reports you choose to export and share
• To sync your data across your devices via your account
• To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app

3. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Your health data is stored locally on your device and securely synced to our servers so it is available across your devices and protected against loss. We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and authenticated API access, to protect your data in transit and at rest.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal or health data. We only share information in the following limited cases:

• With your explicit action: When you export and share a PDF report yourself (e.g., via email or messaging apps)
• Service providers: Trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., hosting, authentication) who process data on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations
• Legal requirements: If required to comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process

5. Google Sign-In

VitalLog uses Google Sign-In for authentication. Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's own Privacy Policy. We only request the minimum profile information (name, email, profile photo) needed to create your account — we do not access your Gmail, contacts, or other Google account data.

6. Notifications

Medicine and water reminders are scheduled locally on your device based on the times you set. These notifications are not used for advertising or tracking purposes.

7. Your Choices and Rights

• You can edit or delete any health record, medicine, or reminder at any time within the app
• You can update your profile and emergency information at any time
• You can request full deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (see below)
• You can revoke the app's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account settings

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, so your health history remains available to you. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal and health data from our active systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

9. Children's Privacy

VitalLog is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

VitalLog is a personal record-keeping tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical condition or before making health-related decisions.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
